Description

Bark contains alkaloids, ditain, ekitamin (ditamin), ekitenin, ekitamidin, alstonin, ekiserin, ekitin, ekitein, porphyrin, and triterpen (α-amyrin and lupeol). leaves contain pikrinin. While the flowers contain ursolic acid and lupeol.

Portion used
Bark and leaves. Dried bark is dried or heated.

How to Use
Bark as much as 1-3 g of boiling water, then drink.
For external use, the sap dripped to ripen boils, thorn and a rash. rod cooking water can be used to wash wounds, purulent skin inflammation, ulcers or as a gargle in toothache.

In Nepal, powdered bark of this plant is used for contraceptive drugs, and its root alkaloids efficacious hypotensive and anticancer said.
